Please note that this app does not take the user's minimum and maximum heart rates. It is simply a calculator. The minimum is entered manually and the maximum can either be entered manually or calculated based on age.

You may notice at times that there are more stars on the flag than there are currently states recognizing gay marriage. Oh My Gay Stars displays states that have passed legislation recognizing gay marriage, even if citizens cannot yet marry in those states. Depending on today's date, you may see states who have passed legislation which is not yet in effect. Tap the more icon in the lower right of the screen and on the flipside you'll find a list and the date the legislation goes into effect. You will also notice that the District of Columbia is not included in the list, due to the fact that it is not represented by a star on the current U. S. flag.

Version 2.0 Released 17 May 2013 What's new in this version:

  • Updated for retina display
  • Data caching
  • Minor bug fixes

In order to keep the list of state names and dates as accurate as possible, the previous version required the user to be online in order to load the data. With the current version, the data is now cached. When the app is launched, the current list is pulled remotely and saved to the device. If there is no network connectivity, the app will use the saved data from the previous session.

Note: The app requires the user to have a network connection the first time the app is run. If there is no connectivity at this time, an error message will appear.
